Setup
Sit on a bench with back support. Hold a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height, with your palms facing your body and elbows bent.
How to perform
- Press the dumbbells upward.
- As you press, rotate your wrists so that your palms face forward at the top.
- Reverse the motion to return to the starting position.
Form cues
- Keep your back straight against the support.
- Avoid using momentum.
- Control the weight throughout the entire movement.
Common mistakes
- Arching the lower back.
- Not performing the full range of motion.
- Pressing the weights too fast.
